FOREX.com analysts predict continued growth in the value of industrial metals

The commodity sector will continue to grow in 2021, FOREX.com analysts are confident. Note that over the past 6 months, against the backdrop of the recovery of the global economy, the weakening of the dollar, industrial metals have shown good growth.

The S&P Goldman Sachs index has risen more than 38% since June 1, while copper, aluminum, nickel and zinc have risen in price better than gold. "The V-shaped recovery in China, supported by strict and immediate quarantines, government incentives and the People's Bank of China, continues to outpace market expectations," said FOREX.com analysts. The country's huge manufacturing sector has recovered thanks to a global boom in home appliances as well as a rebound in auto production.

The Industrial Metals Index most recently topped the S&P GSCI's annual rankings in 2017, when the global economy was growing at its fastest pace and aggressive reductions in overcapacity from a leading producer in China contributed to widespread increases in non-ferrous metal prices.

До этого показатели промышленных металлов в 2009 году заметно превосходили показатели других сырьевых секторов, поскольку мировая экономика оправилась от глобального финансового кризиса.
