Interactive Brokers expands capabilities of IBKR Desktop trading platform
Interactive Brokers continues to expand the functionality of its IBKR Desktop PC platform in an effort to provide more options to its clients.
In the 0.06 update, IBKR Desktop users will be able to attach Stop Loss and/or Profit Taking orders to their main order. In addition, pop-up trade notifications have been added to appear at the bottom of the right price panel when an order is executed.
In addition, the "Fundamentals Explorer" tab on the "Quotes" page allows users to view all of the instrument's key indicators, such as ratios, financials, analyst ratings, forecasts, and more.
In the new version of IBKR Desktop, it is possible to customize the display of the news feed (magazine-style or headlines). At the same time, traders can access research and new markets from the "News" page on the left navigation bar.
The advanced search feature allows users to find news by custom criteria such as provider, importance, source, asset class, article length, language, publication date, and more. This feature allows users to customize the news feed to their individual needs and view the information they are interested in at any time, without the need for a lengthy search.
In addition, the News Filter allows users to sort news by asset class and topic preferences. Tabbed filters in the Portfolio and Watchlist channels help users keep track of the types of news they prefer.
Designed for clients who prefer a more organic interface, IBKR Desktop offers trading in stocks, options, futures, and more on more than 150 markets worldwide. The platform offers fast order execution and access to a wide range of research and data.
