UK-based IG Group has confirmed the appointment of Breon Corcoran as CEO.

The company originally announced the appointment of Breon Corcoran as Chief Executive Officer on December 8, 2023. And today it was announced that the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has approved the appointment.

In 2016, Corcoran oversaw the merger of Betfair and Paddy Power to form Flutter, the world's largest online gambling company. Corcoran served as CEO of Flutter until 2018.

Breon Corcoran then served as CEO of WorldRemit until 2022. He has been Non-Executive Chairman of Auction Technology Group plc since 2020.

Breon started his career as a derivatives trader at Bankers Trust and JP Morgan.

Breon holds a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Ireland's leading university, Trinity College Dublin.

"I am delighted to be joining IG Group. It is a business that I have long admired. I look forward to working with the board and management team to build on the company's current successes," Corcoran previously said.
