Broker InstaForex informs that the Loprais team, sponsored by InstaForex, successfully overcame all obstacles of the forty-sixth season of the Dakar Rally and took second place.

This year's Dakar Rally was held in Saudi Arabia and consisted of 12 stages with a total length of about eight thousand kilometers.

In the truck class, 47 teams fought for the victory, including the InstaForex Loprais team led by the Czech driver Ales Loprais. With him on board the Praga V4S DKR truck were navigator Jaroslav Valtr Jr. and mechanic Jiri Stross, who joined the crew only this year.

"After finishing second in the prologue, InstaForex Loprais dropped to fourth place after the first stage. However, it took only one day to get back into the top 3," the broker reported.

Despite all the difficulties, the InstaForex Loprais team took second place in the final overall standings, losing the lead to their compatriots, the Czech crew led by Martin Macik.
