eToro plans to launch trading on virtual reality devices

Broker eToro is exploring the possibility of launching its retail trading application on Apple Vision Pro and Meta Quest.

If successful, eToro will be the first company to allow its users to manage trading and investments using virtual reality.

eToro CEO Yoni Assia confirmed during his interview with CNBC that the company has started taking active steps in this direction.

"We are starting to experiment with trading using mixed reality," Assia told CNBC in an exclusive interview.

However, Assia said that the technology is unlikely to become widespread this year as the market is not yet ready for such innovations.

eToro now sees the augmented reality app as a service that will be available to more advanced traders. In addition, artificial intelligence will be integrated into the app, and an AI personal assistant will assist users in the investment process.

The CEO of eToro noted that the project is still in the early stages of development, but the company may present a prototype in a few months.
