TeleTrade adjusts trading schedule for April 4, 2024

Broker TeleTrade has announced that the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKEX) will be closed on April 4, 2024, due to the Qingming Festival celebrations in China.

There will be no trading of CFDs on the HK50 and all HKEX stocks on April 4, according to TeleTrade's official website.

Qingming, or the Festival of Pure Light, falls on the 15th day after the Spring Equinox. It is declared a public holiday and a non-working day in China and Taiwan. Historians attribute the advent of Qingming to Emperor Xuanzong, who in 732 ordered that a single day be set aside to honor the ancestors.

The broker asks its clients to consider this information when planning their trading activities and also reminds them that spreads may increase and liquidity may decrease on the respective markets.

In addition, TeleTrade notes that additional changes to trading hours may be made without prior notice.

TeleTrade was established in 1994 and is regulated by the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC). The broker is engaged in providing services to access trading in various currency pairs, as well as metals, equities, cryptocurrencies, indices, and energies.
