HSBC partners with Interactive Brokers to launch global trading platform

HSBC has announced the launch of its new trading platform, WorldTrader, in collaboration with Interactive Brokers (IBKR). This platform, powered by IBKR's white-label solution, provides UAE consumers with access to 25 markets and 77 exchanges globally, enabling them to trade stocks, ETFs, and bonds via both internet and mobile applications.

Steve Sanders, EVP of Marketing and Product Development at Interactive Brokers, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, highlighting IBKR's comprehensive offerings, which include access to global markets, competitive pricing, and robust trading capabilities. "We are happy that HSBC has selected Interactive Brokers, a renowned supplier of white branded solutions for introducing brokers and banks," Sanders remarked.

Key Features of IBKR’s Offerings:

    - 24/7 Trading Access: Enabling round-the-clock trading in more than 150 marketplaces worldwide.
    - Global Reach: Serving customers in over 200 nations and territories through a single trading platform.
    - User-Friendly Interface: Ensuring high customer satisfaction with an intuitive platform for account opening and trading.
    - Real-Time Data: Providing free, real-time market data, news, and professional analysis for informed investment decisions.

Additionally, IBKR has recently extended trading hours for Korean KOSPI 200 derivatives via the Eurex/KRX Link, aligning with US and European market hours. This development allows investors to trade KOSPI 200 Options, Mini-KOSPI 200 Futures, KOSPI 200 Futures, and USD/KRW money futures with ease.

Japanese customers can now invest in CFDs alongside global equities, options, and futures through Interactive Brokers Securities Japan Inc. (IBSJ). This new product enhances trading possibilities by enabling Japanese investors to trade US and global equities and ETFs with leverage.

Through Cboe Europe Derivatives (CEDX), IBKR has introduced European stock options and European index futures and options. This expansion provides customers with new methods to trade European equities derivatives, enhancing their control over European assets.

HSBC's collaboration with Interactive Brokers through the WorldTrader platform represents a significant advancement in global banking and investment services.
