Interactive Brokers introduced beta 10.31 of the TWS platform with new features

Interactive Brokers has released beta version 10.31 of its Trader Workstation (TWS) platform. This latest update introduces several enhancements aimed at improving the user experience and providing more detailed trading information.

One of the key additions in this update is the introduction of an “In the Money” column in the “Option Execution” category. This new feature displays the current value in the money for individual option contracts, giving traders an immediate sense of how much an option is in the money. This can be especially useful for traders making quick decisions about option exercise.

To add a new In the Money column to the Quote Monitor or any other TWS window, simply hover your mouse over the header of the existing Market Data column. Click the green “+ Insert Column” button, expand the Options section and select “In the Money” from the list displayed. This new column is specifically designed for options contracts and does not apply to spreads.

In addition to the new column feature, the Build 10.31 beta version allows traders to view the performance profile for existing positions, including combo orders. A combo order is a complex trade involving multiple positions that are executed as a single order. The Performance Profile feature provides traders with a detailed analysis of their positions, allowing them to better evaluate potential outcomes and risks.

Moreover, Interactive Brokers has also fixed an issue related to corporate split actions in classic charts. This fix ensures that corporate actions such as stock splits are accurately reflected in the charts, helping traders keep accurate records and analyses of their investments.

Interactive Brokers continues to demonstrate its commitment to improving the functionality and usability of its trading platform, ensuring traders have access to the tools and information they need to make informed decisions. As this is a beta version, users are encouraged to explore new features and provide feedback to help improve the final version.

With these updates, Interactive Brokers strengthens its position as a leader in the electronic trading industry by offering its clients cutting-edge tools and enhancements that are equally suitable for beginners and experienced traders alike.
