Pepperstone started operations in Kenya
Pepperstone has officially entered the Kenyan market. The Kenya Capital Markets Agency licensed the broker to act as a foreign exchange broker for a subsidiary of Pepperstone Markets Kenya Ltd.
“We are delighted to present an opportunity in Kenya's dynamic retail and institutional foreign exchange market”, - said Pepperstone Kenya CEO Sahil Patel. He also noted that he is pleased to offer customers a product of the same quality, pricing, analysis and execution as the bank's sales department.
Earlier this year, Pepperstone also received a license from the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) and two other European licenses, one from Germany's BaFin and one from the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC), to continue operating in Europe after Brexit.
The broker views Africa as one of the growing but mostly untapped trading markets. Despite the fact that many companies are trying to attract Kenyan traders, only a few have been able to obtain a license from the regulatory authorities.
