Danish broker Saxo Bank has appointed Tara Tayan as Chief Operating Officer for the MENA region.

She made the announcement on her LinkedIn page.

"I am delighted to announce that I have recently started my new role as COO of Saxo Bank MENA! I am very excited to take this new step in my career and take on new challenges. I look forward to the journey ahead," wrote Tayan.

The appointment is a career move for Tayan, who previously held the position of Regional Head of Marketing.

Tayan joined the Saxo Bank team in July 2018, and has since proven herself to be an experienced leader who understands the inner workings of the company and its strategic global goals. From October 2022 to March 2024, she served as the head of the department responsible for the company's market entry into the Middle East and Africa, as well as the UK and Switzerland.

Prior to this, she held various leadership roles at FxPro, JM Financial Services, and Equiti.com.

Tara Tayan started her career in the financial markets in 2013 at Easy Forex, where she worked as a Regional Marketing Manager.
